Rwanda – Kirambo is a naturally processed coffee contributed by about 500 coffee farmers and processed in a six-hectare station on the eastern shore of Lake Kivu in the Kibuye region of Rwanda.
This station produces exclusively naturally processed lots, with an annual average production of 300 tons. The average farm size of contributing farmers is 300 trees (less than one hectare) with some farmers owning as few as 50 trees, alongside their other crops. Many of these farmers deliver the cherries themselves as the station is so close to them, and some who have less mobility, often older farmers, will have the cherries collected by the station’s site collectors.
Rwanda – Kirambo has nuances of cherry, blueberry and peach compote.
